NOVEMBER 2026, OUR MONTH OF DIVINE SETTLEMENT
Anchor Scripture: 1 Peter 5:10 (KJV)
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
DAY 3
WEEK 1 — DIVINE INTERVENTION
Focus: Digital skills, adaptability, innovation, and new opportunities in a changing economy.
Reality: People who continually develop relevant digital skills are better positioned to recognise opportunities, solve problems, and contribute meaningfully in an increasingly digital world.
How Digital Skills Can Create New Opportunities in a Changing Economy
Anchor Scripture: Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
Opening Thought
The world of work is changing. Businesses are adopting digital tools, communication is increasingly online, and new opportunities are emerging across different industries. In this changing economy, digital skills are no longer useful only to technology professionals. They are becoming valuable tools for learning, working, creating, and building businesses.
Reflection
Digital skills include the ability to use computers, communicate online, create digital content, manage information, analyse data, and work with modern tools, including artificial intelligence.
These abilities can open doors to remote work, freelancing, digital entrepreneurship, online education, and improved productivity. In Nigeria and across Africa, people can use digital platforms to reach customers beyond their immediate communities, promote their services, and access learning opportunities that were previously difficult to obtain.
However, owning a smartphone or having access to the internet does not automatically create economic opportunity. The real advantage comes from developing practical skills and applying them to solve genuine problems.
A graphic designer who understands digital branding, a teacher who can deliver online lessons, or a small business owner who can market products through digital platforms can become more effective and competitive.
Proverbs 22:29 reminds us of the value of diligence and excellence. Technology may provide new tools, but discipline, creativity, continuous learning, and integrity determine how effectively we use them.
As Christians, we should approach technological advancement with wisdom, responsibility, and a desire to create value. Digital skills should not only improve our personal opportunities but also enable us to serve others and contribute positively to society.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me the wisdom and discipline to develop relevant skills and recognise the opportunities available to me. Help me use technology responsibly, create value, and become productive in my generation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Declarations
I am willing to learn, grow, and adapt to changing opportunities.
My skills will create value and solve meaningful problems.
I use technology with wisdom, discipline, and integrity.
I will recognise and responsibly maximise opportunities for growth.
Spirit Challenge
Identify one digital skill that could improve your work, business, education, or career. Take the first practical step today by researching it, beginning a lesson, or practising a useful digital tool.
Closing Exhortation
The changing economy rewards people who are willing to learn and apply what they know. Do not allow the fear of technology or lack of experience to keep you stagnant. Start with what you have, develop your abilities, and use your skills to create meaningful opportunities.
