AUGUST 2026
OUR MONTH OF THE NEW THING
Monthly Anchor Scripture
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV)
DAY 19
WEEK 3 — BUILDING THE NEW THING
Focus: Action, innovation, creativity, productivity, and Kingdom work.
Reality: The new thing grows through faithful building.
Creativity That Carries Truth
Creative Writing / Films & Visual Stories: Producing content that transforms hearts and culture.
Anchor Scripture
Habakkuk 2:2–3 (KJV)
“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Opening Thought
Creativity is more than entertainment.
It is a language.
A story can communicate what an argument cannot. A film can make people feel what a sermon explains. A song can carry truth into places where a spoken message may never reach.
God is still looking for people who can communicate truth creatively.
The new thing may be hidden inside the story you have not written, the film you have not produced, the song you have not recorded, the design you have not created, or the idea you have not yet developed.
Reflection
God told Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain.
That means revelation was not meant to remain locked inside his heart.
It had to be communicated.
Your creativity can become a vessel for truth.
But creativity without truth can become noise.
Talent without purpose can become entertainment without transformation.
The question is not simply:
“What can I create?”
Ask:
“What can I create that carries something meaningful?”
Your story may encourage someone.
Your film may challenge a mindset.
Your writing may give language to someone's struggle.
Your design may communicate hope.
Your testimony may become someone else's courage.
The new thing requires builders who understand that creativity is influence.
Create with excellence.
Create with integrity.
Create with purpose.
Let what you produce point people toward truth, wisdom, hope, beauty, and transformation.
Prayer
Lord, awaken the creativity You have placed within me. Give me ideas that carry truth, wisdom, beauty, and purpose. Help me use my writing, storytelling, media, design, music, and every creative ability for something greater than entertainment. Let what I create become a blessing to others and a testimony of Your goodness.
Declarations
- My creativity carries truth, purpose, and positive influence.
- I create with wisdom, excellence, integrity, and Kingdom purpose.
- My ideas become useful expressions that bless and inspire others.
- My stories, words, and creative works will communicate hope and transformation.
- God is opening new creative dimensions through me.
Spirit Challenge
Create something today that communicates a meaningful truth.
Write a short reflection, record a one-minute video, design something, tell a story, create a song, or develop an idea that can encourage or educate someone.
Closing Exhortation
Do not bury your creativity because you are waiting for perfect conditions.
Start with what you have.
The new thing often begins as a small idea faithfully expressed.
Your creativity is not merely something you possess.
It can become something you use to serve, influence, and transform.
